A material created by drying clothes in a dryer. For this project, the designer performs an investigation into the possibilities of shaping the material.
During the standard daily procedure of maintaining the various self-service laundries, it is common to find a wool-like matter of 20 centimeters in diameter on average. After a week, a whole bag of this matter is filled and thrown away in the garbage. The designer’s motivation for this project comes from her personal experience dealing with this matter through her family business. Industrial dryers, different from household ones, require cleaning the filter daily to ensure the correct functionality. The wool-like matter that comes out of this filter is an accumulation of the different fibers from the drying process.
